Service Scope
The client approves the scope, preservation methods, and expected deliverables. For drives and devices, the client may also approve acquisition levels.
Data365 Evidence assesses each source and selects the appropriate method. For drives and devices, Data365 uses a client-approved acquisition method.
Written approval is required before adding sources, expanding the scope, or using a preservation method or acquisition level that has not been approved.
Budgeting and approval
Most standard preservation and forensic acquisition matters fall in the $5,000–$7,500 range. Once the necessary intake information is received, Data365 provides a written scope and fee estimate within 2 business hours. A fixed fee or written not-to-exceed amount is established before work begins. Any change that would increase the approved scope or budget requires written authorization.
